About the Residency

Troy Wunderle, the long-time Big Top Tour artistic director of Circus Smirkus, brings his circus adventures to the region for a two-week residency March 5-16 that includes a series of early-evening one-man family circus shows and circus arts programs and workshops at multiple schools and after-school and community programs. This residency promises fun and hands-on learning for all ages!

This interactive show features ball, ring and club juggling routines; intricate diablo manipulation; fast-paced rhythmic ball bouncing; unicycle skits; plate spinning; teetering rolla bollas; clown antics; roling globe stunts; ladder balancing; audience participation; magic and more!

About the Artist

Troy Wunderle is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. He is a former international performer with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. For the past fourteen years, he has toured throughout the United States as a freelance performer.

He has been featured on the Disney Channel, The Today Show, Martha Stewart, Chronicle, Fetch, Fox and Friends and America's Funniest Home Videos.

Troy is Big Top Tour Artistic Director of Circus Smirkus, a former Director of Clowning for the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus and founder of Wunderle's Big Top Adventures LLC.
